This experience is truly like no other. The day you welcome your baby will be one you never forget. But just as important as the days, weeks and months leading up, are how you prepare and who you prepare with. It is vitally necessary that you choose to work with someone that resonates with you; that makes you feel safe, trusted and heard. As you emerge from the mountaintop of birth, into the sweet and sacred vulnerability of new motherhood-or motherhood anew-those honored and entrusted to be in your space will include the midwife who you’ve had months with whom to nurture trust.
I would be delighted to meet you and honored to be chosen to be in your service. Midwifery care includes regular prenatal visits, 24/7 access via phone and email throughout the childbearing year, and all the care low-risk pregnancies require. Although I am not able to serve everyone in homebirth, as some folks have risk factors or preferences that lead them to hospital birth, I am delighted to provide co-care in certain situations in which a hospital birth is planned.

Kairos is a word which embodies the right, opportune, and appointed time. Chronological time is like the predictable path of the circle. Your kairos moment is when everything shifts and you might even change direction. This is your time for transformation, renewal and reflection.
As your midwife, I am here to support you through this seismic shift in your life and family. Like a mountain guide offering you information about the trails before you, I’m here to inform you in support of your choices and with full respect for your authority.
